Request Consultation Distinguishing Human Subjects Research from Public Health Practice and Quality Improvement Activities

Please contact the Ethics and Human Research Protection Program for assistance distinguishing public health practice and quality improvement from research.

Notice: Under Florida law, e-mail addresses are public records. If you do not want your e-mail address released in response to a public records request, do not send electronic mail to the Ethics and Human Research Protection Program. Instead, contact the office by phone at (850) 245-4585 or toll-free at (866) 433-2775.

What to expect: After completing the form, someone will contact you to discuss your project. The conversation will last about 10-15 minutes. You may be asked to send additional information to help the Ethics and Human Research Protection Program determine whether you are engaged in research as defined in regulation (that requires IRB review) or public health practice or quality improvement (which do not require IRB reivew).
